WEMBA program alumni receive an MBA title and diploma awarded by the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and certificates of completing post-graduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
Accreditations
The University of Minnesota diploma is recognized all over the world and its quality is confirmed by the accreditations obtained by the University and its programs.
The University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management has the accreditation of International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. We have to emphasize that the AACSB accreditation is very highly rated in the international education system. It has been awarded to such academies as the Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Yale University.
The AACSB International accreditation may only be obtained
by organizations which comply with the respective quality standards
and which prove that they are constantly enhancing their curriculum.
Organizations which are aiming at obtaining such accreditation have to
undergo a very detailed evaluation by the accrediting organization. In
January 2001, the WEMBA program was evaluated as the
For several days NCA evaluators visited SGH. Both the
accrediting organizations, i.e. AACSB
International and NCA,
determined that one organization's recommendations relating to foreign
programs will be recognized by the other. Had the WEMBA program not
complied with the requirements of the accrediting organizations, our
American partner could have lost his accreditation. Luckily, the
evaluation of the program was good, it was even suggested that the
WEMBA program be treated as an exemplary program in the evaluation of
other foreign programs maintained by the Carlson School of Management.
The AACSB International accreditation was extended for another 10
years.
